Kevin Vaughan of Collierville won a tightly contested Republican Primary for the District 95 seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives yesterday.

Republican Party of Shelby County Chairman Lee Mills said, “We had a talented group of individuals vying for the District 95 position.  I appreciate each and every candidate who ran. Running for an elected position isn’t easy and requires tremendous amount of time and dedication. In the end, there can only be one winner and I know all Republicans in District 95 will coalesce around Mr. Vaughan.”

Vaughan beat former Germantown Alderman Frank Uhlhorn by a mere 49 votes.
