The following City Council positions have been decided:

  • District 1: Bill Morrison (78 percent)
  • District 6: Edmund H. Ford Jr. (72 percent)
  • District 8 Position 1: Joe Brown (69 percent)
  • District 8 Position 2: Janis Fullilove (77 percent)
  • District 8 Position 3: Martavius D. Jones (45 percent)
  • District 9 Position 1: Kemp Conrad (70 percent)
  • District 9 Position 2: Philip C. Spinosa Jr. (47 percent)
  • District 9 Position 3: Reid Hedgepeth (61 percent)

The position of City Court clerk has also been decided; Kay Spalding Robilio received 26 percent of the vote, just edging out Wanda Halbert at 25 percent.

In several City Council District races, a candidate did not get the required 50 percent, meaning a runoff is needed to decide the winner.

The following races will be decided by a runoff:

  • District 2: Frank Colvett Jr. (49.5 percent) and Rachel Knox (23 percent)
  • District 3: Patrice Jordan Robinson (48 percent) and Keith O. Williams (21 percent)
  • District 4: Jamita E. Swearengen (33 percent) and Doris Deberry-Bradshaw (24 percent)
  • District 5: Worth Morgan (32 percent) and Dan Springer (23 percent)
  • District 7: Berlin Boyd (26 percent) and Anthony Anderson (24 percent)

The runoff elections will be held Nov. 19.
