Pleasant Times

STA71725Saturday July 19th, Republicans around the the county came out to support local candidates and enjoy some down home cooking at Alderman W.C. “Bubba” Pleasant’s annual Fish Fry.

Alderman Pleasant served as a Tennessee State Representative for ten years before coming home and becoming a local Bartlett Alderman. The Pleasant family has lived on the same farmland on North Germantown Road for nearly sixty-two years. Guest arrived at the Alderman’s home affectionately called “Pleasantville” and were greeted by the sound of a local, classic rock and roll band and smell of freshly cooked fish.

The shady trees of this little utopia was the perfect setting to enjoy the warmth of both Tennessee summers and friends. Children played on the moon bounce, while adults had the chance to talk with state and local candidates and officials and even had a visit from Senator Lamar Alexandar. This special event is certainly a pleasant time that will be a treasured, Tennessee tradition.
