We have lost a true gentleman, a wise public servant, and a rock-solid Republican leader for over 30 years.  Our County Trustee Bob Patterson died this morning after suffering a massive heart-attack.

Bob was the first county-wide Republican elected official, and paved the way for many other public servants to get elected on the Republican line.  Prior to his election, he was a leader in the Republican Workshop program, a ground-breaking candidate for State Senate, and in earlier days was actively involved in the Shelby County Young Republicans.

We are in mourning for a great Republican, Virginia Patterson is in mourning for a loving husband. Please keep her, the Patterson family, and the dedicated staff of the Trustee’s office in your prayers.
