Term limits are back
Today, in a unanimous decision, the Tennessee State Supreme Court re-instated the term limits on Shelby County Commissioners.
This means that two Democratic Commissioners who opted to run again will not be on the August ballot. On November 22 of last year, an appeals court decided that the opinion of 81% of Shelby County voters wasn’t good enough for them.
We have always stood with the voters of Shelby County and are delighted that the supreme court has found in their favor.
