35th Annual Lincoln Day a success!
March 10th, 2010“Change is Coming…
just not the Obama kind.”
- RNC Chairman Michael Steele, speaking to 2010 Lincoln Day GalaOn Saturday night, 740 attendees “Raised their Voices” at the Republican Party of Shelby County Lincoln Day Gala held at the Holiday Inn-University of Memphis. The event’s tickets were sold-out for the first time since 2006.
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele inspired the crowd with a keynote address that was both timely and motivating. Attendees were entertained by Joyce Cobb and welcomed by the Tennessee Mass Choir. Jack Sammons kept the show lively and on track as the emcee.
When all of the donations are counted, the 35th Annual Lincoln Day Gala may turn out to be one of the most successful fundraisers ever for our Party. We wish to thank all of the Committee chairs, volunteers, and guests who helped make this evening so special for all of us. What a great way to kick off the 2010 Campaign season!
